Yes. Leaf has been free since 2017, and the free plan isn't a trial. There's no timer and nothing to cancel.
Your notes are saved inside Chrome on your computer and never uploaded. Leaf is offline first, which is why it works without a connection and needs no account. Cloud storage is optional, with Leaf Pro. You can export your notes from Settings whenever you like.
With Leaf Pro, your notes travel over an encrypted connection and are encrypted at rest on our servers, with keys held by Leaf. We don't access them except where the law requires, we never sell them, and we never use them to train AI.
Yes, so sync knows the notes are yours. Sign in with Google or a code sent to your email. The free plan never asks.
They stay on your computer and remain yours. Sync pauses, and the synced copy on our servers is deleted 90 days after Pro ends. If you subscribe again, Leaf uploads your notes from your computer.
